Long known as the l’enfant terrible of French fashion, Jean Paul Gaultier is both an icon and a brand coveted by the world over for his inspiring persistence of wit and attitude. Jean Paul Gaultier is one of a select few that has achieved the impossible--breaking into fashion’s elite to intermingle with established houses such as Gucci, Armani and Chanel.

Many of Jean Paul Gaultier's designs pay homage to contemporary street wear, focusing on popular culture. Being the consummate designer, his sophisticated haute couture collections are formal yet at the same time unusual and playful. Always ready to experiment and explore new approaches to expression in his long career, Gaultier has worked with numerous musicians including Boy George, Kylie Minogue, Mylene Farmer, The Rita Mitsouko, and, of course, Madonna. The notorious cone-shaped bra, as featured in The Blond Ambition tour in 1990, remains one of the most successful collaborations in show business.

In addition to a diversified portfolio of labels in haute couture and prêt-à-porter collections that are sold across Europe, the Americas and Asia, Jean Paul Gaultier offers a range of highly successful perfume products.

As Chairman of Jean Paul Gaultier S.A, Véronique Gautier has over twenty years of experience in the world of luxury and perfume. Her mission at Jean Paul Gaultier is to re-enforce the legacy and presence of the brand, which has been maintained for 33 years by its talented creator Jean Paul Gaultier.

Gautier began her career with Chanel in 1983 as International Products Manager. After a stint at the Puig Group, responsible for the international relaunch of the Paco Rabanne brand, Gautier moved to the Richemont Group as International Marketing and Development Director for the Cartier perfumes. In January 2001, she joined the Hermès group as Chairman of the Board of Hermès Parfums, responsible for international creation and marketing, product development, international distribution, production, advertising strategy and public/press relations. After a series of important product launches, Gautier was appointed General Director of the leather goods division, Hermès Maroquinerie-Sellerie.
